Breaking News: Seattle Mariners Outfielder Greg Halman Slain

The Associated Press reports that Seattle Mariners Outfielder Greg Halman has been slain in his Rotterdam, Netherlands home. He was 24 years old.

Rotterdam police found Halman bleeding from a stab wound which proved mortal. Halman’s 22-year-old brother is now in custody as a suspect in the murder. His name has not been released due to Dutch privacy laws.

Halman played two seasons with the Mariners. He batted .207 with two homeruns and nine RBI’s in 44 career games.
