The Detroit Lions (7-3) dug themselves out of another big hole to beat the Carolina Panthers (2-8) 49-35 at Ford Field. The Lions trailed at one point 24-7 before making the furious comeback. They now gear up for the undefeated Packers on Thanksgiving Day.

Breaking News: Seattle Mariners Outfielder Greg Halman Slain

The Associated Press reports that Seattle Mariners Outfielder Greg Halman has been slain  in his Rotterdam, Netherlands home. He was 24 years old.

Rotterdam police found Halman bleeding from a stab wound which proved mortal. Halman’s 22-year-old brother is now in custody as a suspect in the murder. His name has not been released due to Dutch privacy laws.

Halman played two seasons with the Mariners. He batted .207 with two homeruns and nine RBI’s in 44 career games.

NFL Game Review: Eagles @ Giants

 

The Philadelphia Eagles (4-6) upset the New York Giants (6-4) 17-10 at Metlife Stadium, 17-10. Vince Young stepped in for the injured Michael Vick and after a shaky start led the Eagles on a 18 play, 80 yard game winning drive. With the win, Philadelphia keeps it’s playoff hopes alive.  With the disappointing loss, the Giants now find themselves looking up at the Cowboys in the NFC East.
